TFS 2010 Renaming of Binary files

Hi,

We are using Microsoft TFS 2010 and suddenly ran low on disk space even after expanding the disk.

Upon investigation we think that a particular project had been renamed directly (no checking in or out).

Can anybody confirm if by doing a rename, TFS will know that its still the same binary files and whether it duplicates them which would use up double the disk space?

Also does anybody know how I can get a list/report to help find out who or what was the culprit that managed to use 40 GB in less than 24hrs?
