Hello,
I am unsure whether i am doing this correctly or not. I have a TFS 2012 environment, I have a detached backup of my current team project collection and have restored it to a completely separate TFS environment (new servers, new back end) and attached the collection to the new environment. At this point it is attached in both environments each environment having different URLs. The thing is now if i change a work item in one environment it changes the work item in the other environment.
What i am trying to do is have a snapshot of the original environment at a certain date for legal purposes. Has anyone else ever run into the need to do this? is there something i am doing wrong? Is there a way to make it so that changes to work items in the original location do not affect work items in the new location? Thanks,
