I have a Windows 10 system that is not on a domain. I am trying to connect to a TFS server that is using SSL. For some reason I cannot connect to the TFS 2013 server. I get a TFS1002 error when trying to connect.
I thought that maybe the problem was because the TFS server certificate was not installed in trusted root certificate store. I navigated to the URL of the TFS server using IE11. The site comes up untrusted. I tried to install the site certificate into the trusted root certificate store, but it still is not trusted after doing that. I am guessing that this is why Visual Studio cannot connect to it. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the certificate is not getting trusted by IE11 when it is in the trusted root store. Does anyone know what I can do to get this to work?
