I am looking to configure TFS security for project collections. We are small group ( 5 developer and few users). Our goal is to configure TFS project collection security as per business role. such as QA, DEVELOPER and OPERATIONS group. In our environment we have one Project collection, under project collection we have different project such as Applications, Assemblies and Tools.
Our goal is to allow Developer to Check-in, Check-Out and other code related development permissions.
QA should able to view code, build application, update work item status , but can't check-in/check-out etc.
Operation group should able to put Bug/Features requirement but not able to perform check-in, check-out etc.
I have checked few documents (such as http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252587.aspx) , but I can't find anywhere where it explains real life scenario(assigning permissions as per business role) and we don't want to use Built-In permissions group.
Any suggestion/help appreciate
