TFS 2012 update 2 to TFS 2013 update 3 Migration - Database Query

I am considering upgrading my TFS 2012 Update 2, SQL Server 2008 R2 & Windows 2008 R2 environment to a new server running TFS 2013 Update 3, SQL Server 2014 and Windows 2012 R2.

I'd like to know which databases I need to restore onto the new 2012R2 SQL Server from the existing environment. The problem is that my current TFS 2012 environment was previously upgraded from a TFS 2010 system and has a long list of databases that are not included in the list of databases to restore as recommended by the migration guide.

The migration guide indicates that you only need to migrate databases:

Tfs_Configuration
Tfs_Collection
Tfs_Warehouse
Tfs_Analysis
ReportServer
ReportServer_TempDB
WSS_Config
WSS_Content
WSS_AdminContent

However, my TFS database also includes the following databses:

Application_Registry_Service_DB_cd4cbde7f4ec4019853c4dbb48c44c1f
Bdc_Service_DB_ea1b6d9bd90440ea801cf3503289f93d

WordAutomationServices_a15e24c86d00461b8237aba297ba13fd
WSS_Content
WSS_Logging
WSS_Search_Server01

Does anyone know what these additional database are, what they do and, most importantly, if they are required or not? I'd like to keep the new environment as clean as possible and if the additional databases are not required, I'd prefer to not restore them into the new database server.

Any advice will be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Cossy
