What is the structure of a TFS project

I am using TFS 2010 and visual studio 2012, we have maximum work of automated build for Database, and UI tests for .sql files. What can be the overall structure of the project, that i can have a central point of source file to refer to all other files in the project. That if any error comes in the MS build, i can detect from which part of the project it has come.

At some points some values are not initialized, and in some references DACPAC files from other project databases is referred. But i cannot remove the external database files due to some dependency conflicts. But i don't know where in the project source code, i can modify the added references or files. This can be applied anywhere in the project for modification of the project source code, from the central point of files, like .sql or src. Please help me out.

Thanks

T.Uday
